Piper's Gentle Gaze

Piper's Gentle Gaze is the first artwork in my Dogust 2026 challenge.

Created for the Day 1 prompt, Mutt, this mixed-media portrait features my family's beloved dog, Piper. The artwork combines mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, watercolor pen, and acrylic paint pen before being refined in Snapseed for digital presentation.

As the opening piece in a series of 31 traditional dog portraits, this artwork celebrates the unique beauty and personality of mixed-breed dogs while marking the beginning of a month-long artistic challenge.
