Scabiosa Miniature Study | Botanical Mixed Media Artwork
Scabiosa Miniature Study is part of my Blooming Marvelous May and Miniature May series, a collection dedicated to exploring flowers through small-scale mixed-media artwork.
This piece features a vibrant purple Scabiosa flower surrounded by lush green foliage. The artwork was created using mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, colored pencil, India ink pen, and acrylic paint pen before being refined through Snapseed and Procreate.
The Scabiosa's intricate center and layered petals made it an especially rewarding subject to study. Working in miniature encouraged careful observation and attention to detail while allowing me to celebrate the unique beauty of this garden flower.
