Blue Viola Miniature Study

Part of my ongoing Blooming Marvelous May and Miniature May art challenge projects, this miniature floral artwork focuses on layered blue violas surrounded by dense greenery, expressive white linework, and mixed media textures.

This piece was created using mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, colored pencil, India ink pen, and acrylic pen techniques. I wanted the artwork to feel both botanical and expressive at the same time, balancing softer colored pencil textures with stronger ink outlines and acrylic highlights.

One of the biggest goals with these miniature studies has been experimenting with how much visual detail and layered texture I can fit into smaller compositions while still keeping the artwork energetic and readable.
