🧩 Lexicon Lands: Claiming the Final Word

Lexicon Lands: Claiming the Final Word is a digital illustration created in Procreate as the official cover art for one of the Phase One mini-games featured in my dog-themed fantasy TTRPG system, Woof&Wyrm.exe.

Part of the Barker’s of Ruin boss battle system, Lexicon Lands is a word-building strategy challenge used by the villain Catrick the Cheat to test the heroes of Woofhaven in a battle of intellect rather than strength. In this mini-game, players must spell three-letter words using their cards and replace completed words with lettered dice as they progress toward victory across nine turns.

The floating tiles spelling I W.I.N. represent the ultimate objective — claiming the final word before your opponent can bend the rules of the game itself.

The outcome of this challenge directly impacts the second phase of the encounter: Undead Tabbies.
If the heroes succeed here, they gain an advantage.
If not… Catrick gets to rewrite the rules.
