Portrait of Samuel and Ida Fisher is the second illustration in my ongoing Biography of Earl Dewey Fisher illustrated audiobook series.

Inspired by historical family photographs and Earl Dewey Fisher's own memories, this portrait honors his parents and the family legacy that began with their move from Iowa to Kansas. The surrounding farmhouse, windmill, and rural landscape help recreate the environment that shaped Earl's earliest years.

The artwork was created using mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, colored pencil, fine liner pen, India ink pen, and acrylic paint pen.
