Columbia Windflower Miniature Study

Columbia Windflower Miniature Study is the final artwork created for Blooming Marvelous May. Over the course of the challenge, I completed thirty miniature flower drawings and one full-size floral piece, exploring a variety of botanical subjects through mixed-media techniques.

Using mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, colored pencil, India ink pen, and acrylic paint pen, I captured the soft purple petals and woodland surroundings of the Columbia windflower.

This piece serves as the conclusion to a month-long celebration of flowers and the beauty found in nature's smallest details.
