The Steadfast Drever

The Steadfast Drever is a mixed-media Drever portrait created for my ongoing Dogust 2026 art challenge.

I focused the composition on the dog's distinctive long ears, expressive face, and brown-and-white markings. The calm but determined expression inspired the title, while a deep blue background provides contrast against the warmer colors of the Drever.

Traditional materials included mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, India ink pen, fineliner pen, watercolor pen, and acrylic paint pen.

Final editing was completed using Snapseed and Procreate.
