Pansy Miniature Study
Pansy Miniature Study is a botanical miniature artwork created for the Blooming Marvelous May and Miniature May art challenges. This piece combines layered traditional media textures with digital refinement to create a vivid floral composition filled with contrast and expressive mark-making.
The artwork was traditionally created using mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, colored pencil, India ink pen, and acrylic paint pen, then digitally enhanced with Snapseed and Procreate to deepen the colors and preserve the textured feel of the original piece.
The dramatic reds within the flower petals became the visual centerpiece of the composition, contrasted against darker greens and earthy surrounding textures to create a bold botanical atmosphere.
